      2. Jared Dickerson - Electrical Engineering Senior - I'm one year into the semester. I plan to graduate in September of 2012.

            1. Nate: I knew someone that took 22 years to get a degree.

            1. Nate: Yeah, but we need it to register members. Did I mention it's nice to not have the wireless? ....
        1. All Officers - The President is compiling a list of ACM Emails and requires:

                  1. Nate: ...we will be purging [the iMac]...Other than that though, don't think I need any other passwords.
        2. IBM Mainframe Competition.
          1. Nate: That's still out there. I'm still looking for a team and ...entering it in the Spring. We have a choice of language...we have C# and C++...with oddball languages...and ZOS is still Unix running on top of 96 mainframes at once. If you happen to be a performance coder, PLEASE join me. I don't happen to be too good at that.
        3. Reticon Entertainment System - Now out of Hiatus since September 30th, 2011
          1. Frank: We took it...completely apart! It's going to be rebuilt in a ...smaller form factor...and [the designs] should be done by the end of next week. I will write up a new charter and...present it.
            1. Nate: Like completely destroyed. Can you post the pictures? I want to see you go *stomping motion
              1. Frank: Yeah, I will. I'm going to redo [the arcade machine]...smaller.

              1. Thanks to Sal and Joshua...and all of us, We got the entire room passed by the Fire Marshal. Everything is now up to code; UL certified and ...remodeled the room in the process of doing os.
                1. Nate: It's suddenly bigger. I did not think it's possible.
                  1. Frank: It's not out of our pocket. It was [thru ACM].
                    1. Nate: Can I get an authrization for ...
                      1. Frank: $13.05 purchaed at Big Lots. 
                      2. Movement - I move to approve $13.05 for the purchase of two power strips. [Frank/David Nuon] - [PASSED].
            2. MISSING! OpenGL Super Bible & Big Java 3rd edition from the Library!
              1. Frank: OpenGL Bible is actually in my posession.
              2. Ariana: According to Richard, a guy named Timmy borrowed it and it was in the Spring.

                1. Nate: No one can figure out that they could send a reauthorization email. Someone got the email... [and I] scouted it out.
            2. AESB Representative:
              1. David Nuon - My name is David Nuon. "New un" I was in an AESB Meeting- if an ORG does not do enough AESB events they will be on probation.
                1. Sal: For those who don't know, AESB is [over us] and we have to keep active with them in order to get money at the end of the year. We have to attend half the meetings, half of their events & and half of the committee meetings. The only one is e-week, the week long celebration of engineers.
              2. David Nuon - Are the minutes on the ACM Website?
                1. Sal: They should be.
              1. Contact Liaison: 
                1. Guest Speaker Coordination with Dr. Eric Sorin of Sorin Labs.
                2. David Barahona: I emailed Richard about Dr. Sorin. [Oct 26] is the meeting date.

                1. Frank: We have a printer in the office and we need to figure out something to do with it. Opportunity Drawing off or selling it? 
                  1. Nate: I do not want to use it in the office. I say we sell it?
                    1. Frank: How do we sell something like that?
                      1. Nate: Ask Andrew to look on ebay.
                        1. Frank: Ariana has put a craiglist post for the TV. How much?
                          1. Ariana: $25. I might lower it.

                            3. Nate: If you want seperate funds, we'll authorize [the transference of funds]...but fine. When you register your account for orgsync, lock it down...since it's tied to your treasury account.
                2. Alex: My dad tried finding the [security] camera but we couldn't figure it out.

            3. Project/Committee Reports:
              1. Augmented Ebay Project Charter:
                1. Karan: We had our first meeting on Friday. We will be ready with the first module [out of seven] by next week. That will involve showing how to inject image URL on top of a HTML listing with AJAX control. I have submitted the Grand Chart to the Secretary and modified the scope [of the Project Charter]. 
                  1. Nate: This is just AJAX?
                    1. Karan: This is ...video ...processing...to...HTML...format.
              2. Boeing Project: 
                1. Sal: Reporting for Andrew. Today in ECS-4---in the Mac Lab, Boeing will be doing a presentation on the work. You will need to sign a non-disclosure agreement. 
                  1. Nate: Anything and everything they say is propriatary.
                    1. Ariana: Is it Open?
                      1. Sal: CSULB students and faculty can come. Non-CSULB [personel are NOT] allowed.
                        1. Ariana: All the chairs are taken by students.
                          1. Nate: We can always have more chairs
                            1. Sal: Don't be surprised if the room is full.
              3. Modder's Workshop:
                1. Derrik: Next meeting Tuesday at 2. ECS 304. We will use a game to mod a game called T-Wars. It's a free download game; servers are controlled by the players. It's not Blizzard.
                  1. Nate: We can go over the details later.
                  2. Frank: May I suggest an alternative? Paint.NET
              4. Programming Team Interest Committee: 
                1. Sal: If we are going to apply for a grant, we should do it [by next week]. ASI loves competitions!
              5. Socie-D: 
                1. Joshua: We went over GUI Design last meeting and we will have another meeting today.
              6. Women in Computing Startup: 
                1. Ariana: Moving forward with the ALICE Workshop.
                2. October 31st Scary Halloween Movie Night Assessment
                  1. Ariana: I thought it would be fun to have a scary movie night. No casper; I want to get people on edge. A big movie fest with food; I wanted to get an idea of who would be interested in going. I may have to reconsider the location [depending on attendance].
                    1. Expected Attendence: 5 hands raised.
                  2. Karan: We can join the other october event by the business club. 
                3. Ariana: We got our keys!
                  1. Nate: If it's not too much to ask; someone keep the room open on Tuesday.
              7. Links For Good: 
                1. Ariana: We will start weekly meetings on Monday. Things have been going too slow. 3:15 on mondays in the ACM office til whenever. I apologize in advance if I have to kick [people] out.
            4. Event/Fundraising Reports : Nothing new to report.
            5. Old Business
              1. CoE Design Collaboration:  
                1. Sal: They're looking for collaborations. [no need to put this on the agenda anymore].
                2. Nate: You can stop by the ET building and they'll talk to you.
            6. New Business - 
              1. NEW ImagineCup Project with Donald Herman - 
                1. Donald: We got honorable mention last time. We want to get another team going. I hope to get Sal to help me with some publicity. If we had another person that's strong with an idea.
                  1. Ariana: What did you want to do?
                    1. Donald: A strategy game...
                2. Sal: For everyone who's new, we have a charter system. We fill one of these out; who's in charge. who's your team. We can help sponsor your project. We have resources and know-how [to help your project.] Anyone can start a project at anytime.We'll start a draft project which doesn't have the details ironed out; we move to appove it.

              2. Establishing Office Hours - 
                1. Sal: When are you in the office Josh?
                  1. Josh: I can't think.
                  1. Frank: Schedules are eratic.
                2. Sal: It's in the bylaws...
                  1. Nate: It can't be enforced...
                3. Sal: I ask you guys to do this...and we approved the bylaws...It would be nice to have a sign to [state the return time when the office is closed]. Do  you have the keys yet, ACM-W?
                  1. Ariana: I can't speak for everyone.
                    1. Sal: Well, we can use the office more.
                  2. Ariana: I'm not opposed to the idea, but [we'll] need to look at our schedule.
                4. Karan: Can we use it on Fridays?
                  1. Frank: I'm usually available [to open the office in the weekend.]
              3. Starting up Upsilon Pi Epsilon, the CECS Honor Society -
                1. Ariana: There is a honor society for CECS. It used to be active but it stopped. With some correspondence I had with [customer service] ACM National, they asked me if I can revive it. I was wondering if anyone had interest in handling that. See me for more information!
                2. Sal: You have to be on top of your class with a 3.0+ GPA.

              1. Sal: I just want to say to all the officers and regular members; please take account new members who don't know SocieD or Links 4 Good. Augmented Ebay is an extra [thing] on ebay to help you [do stuff.] It's part of a $10,000 grand prize. We're doing a ton of project on Boeing for the Android. Modder's workshop is...
                1. Derrik:: How to use open source software like Blender and Gimp to mod games.
              2. Sal: ICPC is the programming Team. It's a prestigio

                1. Nate: Kevin [won third place] and is now working on Google. You can stop by and work out stuff on Thursdays.
              4. Sal: SocieD is a windows mobile game. Women in computing is a club for females. Links 4 good is a charity website we're working on. Let us know if you're interested!
              5. Frank: BeachCon is comming up on October 22nd. It's a huge gaming tournament and lounge...like Starcraft 2, Tetris, Street Fighter 4, ...
                1. Segregated to PC and console; Atari 2600 to the Playstation 3. We have costume costume / cosplay contest at 7:00 PM.
                  1. Derrik: will it be at the USU?
                    1. Frank: Pyramid! If you're intersted in helping let me know! We need to watch the [consoles] and be a bouncer. Last year we had 200 people show up. We want to get three to four hundred [this year].
